Ypres

Only a 40 minute drive from B&B De Passant, Ypres and Flanders Fields, silent witnesses of the Great War (1914-18), both leave a deep impresion on all visitors.

Ypres is a city with a very rich and diverse past. During the Middle Ages, Ypres was a thriving trading city and one of the major Flemish cloth towns next to Bruges and Ghent. The impressive cloth hall is proof of this glory period.

Jabbeke

The house, the atelier (workshop) and the museum of the artist Constant Permeke is a real "must" for all those who love art.
The museum is housed in "the four winds", a modernist house with a sculpture studio, which artist Constant Permeke built in the period 1928-1930 by his friend-architect Pierre Vandevoort. This was based on a rough sketch by Permeke himself. Constant Permeke lived there until his death in 1952.

The Belgian coast

Wonderful seaside resorts such as De Haan, Oostende or Knokke, only a stone’s throw away, invite you to a peaceful stroll along the beach to enjoy a relaxing day.
